Activity 3: Situational Role-play

  1. Create scenarios that involve different emotions and qualities
  2. Students act out the situations using the new vocabulary
  3. Class discusses the appropriate use of words in context

Example Scenario: A student shows சோர்வு (fatigue) after a long day of studying, but their friend encourages them with அன்பு (love) and இனிய (pleasant) words.

Practice Time!

In small groups, create a short story using at least 7 words from today’s lesson.

Example: செருக்கு உடையர் பெருமை பேசினார். அவரது மடமை நகுப ஆனது. இன்பம் இன்மை ஆனது. (The arrogant person spoke of greatness. Their foolishness became laughable. Pleasure became lacking.)
