Activity 1: Knowledge Quiz

Create a quiz using the new vocabulary:

3. தெருளாதான் யார்? (Who is a தெருளாதான்?)

Instructor: Prepare more questions beforehand. Encourage students to answer in Tamil as much as possible. Discuss the answers and their implications for understanding Tamil culture and philosophy.

Activity 2: Concept Mapping

Create a concept map connecting the new words:

1. Start with அறிவு (knowledge) in the center
   
2. Connect related words like ஓத்து, உரைப்பான், அறிய
   
3. Show opposites like தெருளாதான் and உணராப்
   
4. Discuss how concepts like பிறப்பு and சிதைவு relate to knowledge

Instructor: Prepare a template concept map. Guide students in making logical connections between words. Discuss how these connections reflect Tamil philosophy and worldview.

Activity 3: Guided Group Discussions

Divide the class into groups and assign discussion topics:

1. அறிவு பெறுவதற்கான வழிகள் (Ways to gain knowledge)
   
2. தீவினை செய்வதால் ஏற்படும் விளைவுகள் (Consequences of evil deeds)
   
3. உரையாமை-ன் முக்கியத்துவம் (The importance of not speaking/silence)
   
4. வெஃகாமை-ன் நன்மைகள் (Benefits of not coveting)

Instructor: Provide guiding questions for each topic. Encourage students to use as many new words as possible in their discussions. Have groups present their conclusions to the class.

Practice Time!

Individually, write a short paragraph about the importance of knowledge (அறிவு) in life, using at least 6 new words from today’s lesson.

Example:
அறிவு வாழ்க்கையில் மிக முக்கியம். நாம் ஓத்து மூலம் அறிவைப் பெறலாம். தெருளாதான் உணராப் நிலையில் இருப்பான். நாம் ஒழுக்கி வாழ வேண்டும். தீவினை செய்யாமல், வெஃகாமை கடைப்பிடிக்க வேண்டும். இதன் பொருட்டு, நாம் சிறந்த வாழ்க்கை வாழலாம்.

(Knowledge is very important in life. We can gain knowledge through study. One who doesn’t understand will be in a state of not realizing. We should live disciplined lives. Without doing evil deeds, we should practice not coveting. For this sake, we can live an excellent life.)
